SI Systems’ new software suite wraps around a facility’s existing practices, processes, systems

In a press conference on Tuesday, SI Systems (Booth 178) introduced its new VWare warehouse software suite that integrates warehouse execution, management and control functionality. The system integrates the activities of multiple automated materials handling activities and devices through native modules that interface directly with device controllers and subsystems.

“The software smoothly integrates with a wide range of manual and automated facilities,” said Ed Romaine, VP of sales and marketing. “What’s unique is its exclusive wraparound feature that accommodates a wide variety of existing processes. This allows an organization to continue to use their current methodologies without the need for custom coding, reprogramming or retraining.”

To reduce inventory and labor costs—while improving order fulfillment accuracy—each VWare installation is custom configured, Romaine added.

“The software offers both basic and advanced inventory control features focused on picking accuracy and efficiency,” he said. “And, it is modular and extendable, which allows it to scale up with business growth and financial performance requirements.”

ProMat 2015 is scheduled to be held March 23-26, 2014 at Chicago’s McCormick Place. The tradeshow will showcase the latest manufacturing, distribution and supply chain solutions in the material handling and logistics industry. Modern’s complete ProMat 2015 coverage.
