Chad Kennedy, Group Product Manager for DAT Freight & Analytics, provides an overview of various issues and themes his company addresses for its customers on a daily basis, including: the keys to sound RFP management; current market trends and dynamics; and what steps shippers can take to tighten up costs or secure reliable capacity before the market turns again, among others. 

In his role at DAT, Kennedy is responsible for delivering benchmark reporting solutions to customers. Prior to joining DAT in 2018, Chad led the Transportation department for CHEP, where he was a customer of DAT for nine years. At CHEP, Chad leveraged data analytics and his prior experience as a manager with a small trucking company to partner with carriers and brokers to improve cost and service.

With more than 15 years of experience in Transportation and data analytics, Chad has now focused his efforts on solving analytical ad benchmarking problems for Shippers, Carriers, and Brokers. Chad earned a B.S. in Economics from Radford University and an MBA in Supply Chain from the University of South Florida and lives in the Tampa area with his wife and three children.
