The weekly average, at $4.034, saw a 0.006-cent increase, following a 2.4-cent increase, to $4.028, for the week of March 18.

The national average, at $4.004, decreased 1.8 cents, following a 3.6-cent decline, to $4.022, for the week of March 4, and a 5.1-cent decline (its largest weekly decrease in 2024), to $4.058, for the week of February 26.

The national average, for the week of October 30, fell 9.1 cents, to $4.454, nearly wiping out the 10.1-cent gain, to $4.545 per gallon, for the week of October 23.

According to Goldman Sachs, prior to the Israeli attacks, Iran had raised its oil production by around 500,000 barrels a day. Goldman Sachs estimated for every 100,000 barrel a day decline in Iran’s production next year, Brent crude oil prices would rise by about $1 per barrel.

With a 10.5-cent increase, the national average, for the week of February 7, came in at $3.951, following a 6.6-cent increase, to $3.846, for the week of January 31.
