The Smart Manufacturing Experience focuses on transformative technologies that enable manufacturers to better compete in the digital manufacturing era, including AI and machine learning, data analytics, IIoT/Industry 4.0, cyber security, software/CAD-CAM, automation, additive manufacturing, advanced materials, precision machining, metrology and more.

Events will connect manufacturing employers with job seekers. The first career fair is scheduled for February 8, 2024, and the second will be held later in the year.

DHL observed that in recent years, SMEs have been up against a whole host of challenges, including—pandemic-driven global supply chain disruptions and labor shortages; inflation; and shifts in consumer demand—all things that have forced U.S.-based SMEs “to adapt to and navigate the changing landscape throughout the year and especially during the holidays.”

SME, teh national nonprofit leading the industrial ecosystem, honors nine members who have made outstanding contributions to the social, technological, and educational aspects of the manufacturing profession.

Organizations to conduct two virtual career fairs in 2023. The next virtual career fair is scheduled to take place Thursday, February 9, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Eastern Time.

The non-profit organization, which is celebrating its 90th anniversary, announced its 2022 election results and installed its new officers, directors, and council representatives during a ceremony at its SME Fall Gala conducted Nov. 6 in Atlanta. Their terms begin in January 2023.

Entitled the “DHL 2022 Mid-Year SME Survey,” the survey’s findings are based on feedback from more than 4,000 United States-based SMEs, including DHL customers.
