Richmond, Va.-based Estes Express, the nation’s fourth-largest LTL carriers with $4.4 billion revenue last year, has made a $1.3 billion bid for all of defunct Yellow’s 160 company-owned terminals.

Through this new model, Estes said it enables the company to streamline technology, which will result in a more efficient and cost-effective offering for shippers in the U.S. and Canada. Estes’ partner carriers for this service are Canada-based agents Speedy Transport and Pacific Coast Express, with the alliance set to go live on May 22.
