Drayage, Transloading and Final Mile

The importer saved 20% in their budget by agreeing to PITT OHIO’s more economical solution to transload the container to an LA warehouse first.

A Medical and industrial glove manufacturer needed a cost-effective solution for a shipment of gloves arriving at the Port in Los Angeles, with a final destination in Oregon.

The importer was not satisfied with the cost involved with the initial solution recommended by her current provider.

Instead of a direct drayage of the container from LA to Oregon, PITT OHIO suggested draying the container to a warehouse in LA first. In this warehouse, the gloves would be devanned, palletized by SKU, and shipped to their final destination in a dry van.

Download this case study to see how using PITT OHIO saved the importer time and gave them peace of mind that the shipment would be handled promptly and damage free.
