Ranking the Top 10 Schools to Learn About Supply Chains

MIT, INSEAD, and Michigan top the list, with Cranfield and Penn State rounding out the top five

Supply Chain Digital has released its list of the top schools for learning about supply chains, with six based in the U.S. and the other four in Europe.  The final choices are “educating the next generation of supply chain talent, while also helping established executives enhance their already extensive knowledge.”

Finishing in the top three are MIT, INSEAD, and Michigan's Ross School of Business.

Both Gartner and U.S. News & World Reports have published similar lists over the past couple of years but with a focus on undergraduate programs in North American schools. The University of Tennessee is the only school to secure a top 5 spot in the rankings for both, finishing No. 1 for U.S. News & World Reports and No. 2 for Gartner.

Similarly, both Gartner and Supply Chain rankings featured two institutions: Penn State's Smeal College of Business, placed third by Gartner and fifth by Supply Chain Digital; and Michigan's Ross School of Business at Michigan, which was ranked seventh by Gartner and third by Supply Chain Digital.

Below is Supply Chain Digital's Top 10 choices:

  1. MIT Center for Transportation & Logistics
  2. INSEAD (France)
  3. Michigan Ross School of Business
  4. Cranfield School of Management (UK)
  5. Penn State Smeal College of Business
  6. Cardiff University (UK)
  7. The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania
  8. Rotterdam School of Management (Netherlands)
