Redwood Logistics announces acquisition of Eminent Global Logistics

Chicago-based Redwood Logistics announced this week it has acquired Horsham, Penn.-based Eminent Global Logistics, a provider of TMS (transportation management systems) implementation and integration services.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Established in 2002, Eminent is a consultant and integrator for Oracle Transportation Management (OTM), Global Trade Management (GTM), and Oracle Warehouse Management (Logfire). Redwood said that Eminent’s products for OTM and GTM implementations compliments RedwoodConnect, Redwood's own connectivity platform for easier implementation of both TMS offerings.

“Eminent’s proficiency in integrating and implementing technology systems, particularly Oracle OTM, is extremely impressive,” Mark Yeager, Redwood Logistics CEO, said in an interview. “They are an industry leader in that space and have continually delivered incredible value to their customers since 2002. Their team of experts has a track record of creative problem solving and innovation that really sets it apart from other companies in the market.”

When asked what specific needs Eminent fills for Redwood, Yeager explained that Eminent’s expertise in working with Oracle OTM bolsters Redwood’s impressive technology integration capabilities.

“While Redwood has historically been a proficient integrator of MercuryGate, we have not matched that expertise with Oracle OTM,” he said. “We can now service a whole new set of customers contemplating the use of Oracle’s TMS. With the addition of Eminent, we now have the skillset to service customers that are already using or are contemplating using OTM. We can now help customers successfully realize optimal value from their TMS, just like we have for MercuryGate in the past.”

Kathy Moore, CEO of Eminent, said in a statement that Eminent is excited to join the Redwood team.

“The combination of RedwoodConnect, rapidOTM, and our team of over 70 tech-enabled specialists and multiple TMS and transportation platforms differentiates us in the marketplace as innovation leaders,” she said.
