The new mobile tablet from DAP Technologies (Booth 3833) combines flexibility in the way it can be used and ruggedness in what it can withstand, said Khalid Kidari, director of product management and marketing for DAP at a Tuesday press conference.
The M9000 tablet is IP67 rated for ruggedness, which gives it total protection from dust and makes it immersible in up to a meter of water. “Warehouses are very dusty environments,” said Kidari. “Dust will not penetrate this device. And, because it seals out water, it withstands cold.”
The tablet can be attached to a lift truck, but also is well suited to use on foot including outside the four walls, said Kidari, where its sunlight-viewable touchscreen is an advantage. The unit supports multiple standard communications including Zigbee as well as wireless USB.
