Ranking the World’s 10 Biggest Supply Chains

Where do Amazon, Walmart, Apple, and other top companies rank?

In its latest ranking, Supply Chain Digital profiled the top 10 largest supply chains, highlighting some of the world’s most influential companies.

Amazon took the top spot, lauded not just for its online retail business, but also for e-commerce, cloud computing, and digital streaming. Most impressive, however, might be the incredible growth of its Logistics sector. As Supply Chain Digital noted, Amazon has “created a vast logistics infrastructure to support its marketplaces, ensuring fast and efficient product delivery from an array of fulfillment centers across the globe.”

Following closely is Walmart, which continues to invest heavily in infrastructure and e-commerce, as customers increasingly shift to online shopping. Earlier this week, the retail giant announced “Ultra-Late Night Delivery,” allowing customers to receive deliveries 18 hours a day, from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. Additionally, Walmart's logistics operation is thriving and is now a SaaS product available for businesses of all sizes.

Nestlé, the world's largest food and beverage company, holds the third spot. The company aims to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050 and focuses on ESG leadership and innovative business models to enhance its supply chain from end to end.
