ATA reports sharp gain in seasonally-adjusted truck tonnage in December
With the economy continuing to show modest signs of progress, truck tonnage volumes ended 2013 on a positive note, according to data issued today by the American Trucking Associations (ATA).

The American Trucking Associations (ATA) reported today truck tonnage took a step in the right direction, snapping two months of declines, with a 2.8 percent increase in its advance seasonally-adjusted (SA) For-Hire Truck Tonnage index in June.

Trucking news: ATA reports seasonally-adjusted tonnage is down 0.7 percent in April
Truck tonnage is continuing its ride on an up and down road, with a slight decline in March, according to the American Trucking Associations (ATA). The ATA’s advance seasonally-adjusted (SA) For-Hire Truck Tonnage index dropped 0.7 percent in April after increasing a revised 1.9 percent (from1.7 percent) gain in March. This index was down 2.7 percent in February and was up 3.8 percent and 2.5 percent, respectively, in January and December.
