Chicago-based project44, a technology services provider offering standardized, secure Web service API (application programming interfaces) integrations enabling 3PLs and shippers to connect with carriers in real time, and Orlando, Fl.-based OneRail, a provider of delivery orchestration and fulfillment platform, services, announced they have established a partnership focused on bringing together first and final mile logistics for shippers.

Continuing to grow its final mile services offerings through acquisition, Lowell, Ark.-based trucking and intermodal services bellwether J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. announced today that its subsidiary, J.B. Hunt Transport Inc. has acquired the assets of Mass Movement Inc.

Forward Air officials said that the purchase price is $2.25 million, with Value Logistics generating roughly $6 million in annual revenues. The transaction, which Forward Air said will be funded from cash on hand, will be made official later this month.
