For the week of December 12, the average price per gallon—at $4.754—fell 21.3 cents, following a 17.4-cent decline, for the week of December 5, to $4.967, for a collective 38.7-cent decline over the last two weeks alone and a total decline of 58.7 cents, going back to the week of October 24.

For the week of December 5, the average price per gallon of diesel—at $4.967—dropped 17.4 cents, following an 8-cent decline, to $5.233, for the week of November 21, which was preceded by a 2-cent decline, to $5.313, for the week of November 14.

It’s on display at virtually every gasoline station, the price of gasoline in red and the price of diesel in green. It’s as clear as day. Falling 2.0 cents, the national average came in at $5.313 per gallon. This follows a 1.6-cent increase, to $5.333 per gallon, for the week of November 7, a 2.4-cent decline, to $5.317, for the week ending October 31, a 0.002-cent increase, to $5.341, for the week of October 24 and an 11.5-cent increase, to $5.339, for the week of October 17.

Rising 1.6 cents, the national average, for the week of November 7, came in at $5.333 per gallon. This followed a 2.4-cent decline, to $5.317, for the week ending October 31, a 0.002-cent increase, to $5.341, for the week of October 24 and an 11.5-cent increase, to $5.339, for the week of October 17.
