The Warehouse Management System (WMS) market saw significant growth in 2011, increasing by 10%, according to data from Dedham, Mass.-based ARC Advisory Services.

Looking at the North America TMS market, ARC said that revenues has bounced back strongly since the end of the recession, with pent-up demand leading to robust growth next year, which will then be declining to historical growth rates.

Modern’s 2012 outlook finds that overall market uncertainty has slowed materials handling spending and has increased facility consolidation and engineered process improvements. Cost containment has returned as the most important issue of the day.

The Dedham, Mass.-based firm said that the TMS market has "bounced back" after the global recession, growing faster than the rate of inflation in 2010, with significant growth forecasted through 2015.
