Widely used inside the four walls, wireless mobile devices from scanners and printers to tablets are a strong player in facility productivity. In fact, some may argue mobility technology is an absolute essential piece of today’s supply chain puzzle, and recent reports have indicated that around 90% of warehouse/DC facilities now use wireless devices to some degree.
The ongoing labor shortages inside our operations only accentuate the need to leverage the best in mobile technology, and recent advances ensure that mobility will become increasingly valuable to workflows and throughput efficiencies—now and in the future.
In this session, our speaker will assess the current advanced state of mobile technology solutions, including device trends, wearables, RFID and real-time location tracking, machine vision, voice solutions, as well as wireless networking and 5G advancements. He’ll also discuss which technologies are proven and ready to help bring efficiencies today, and which emerging technologies we should keep a close eye on.
