Our Keynote features a conversation with Sally Miller, Global Digital Transformation Officer for DHL Supply Chain. The overall focus of the discussion will be on how robotics is transforming DHL Supply Chain’s operations in terms of productivity, meeting service levels, and protecting workers from repetitive or non-value-added tasks.
Miller will share how robotics innovations, including the first commercial deployment of Stretch, a mobile autonomous truck-unloading robot, brings value to supply chain fulfillment operations. We’ll also examine other flexible automation innovations at DHL Supply Chain’s contract logistics centers, including industry-leading use of smaller autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) for small-item order picking, and other advances in automation.
Miller will share where DHL Supply Chain is on this journey, the integration direction for robotics applications, and how these robots are perceived by their human coworkers. Innovation should lead to value, and this discussion will open your eyes as to how robotics can help with operational efficiencies and attracting and retaining the next generation of fulfillment center workers.
