Furnishing Group based in Latrobe, Pennsylvania was tasked with providing 4,500+ mattresses for on-campus housing at a prestigious Eastern University. Already familiar with our reliable Less-Than-Truckload service, the shipper turned to PITT OHIO for a cost-effective, total logistics solution starting with the pickup from the production facility all the way to the installation in the dormitory rooms.

The Coronavirus Pandemic introduced additional scheduling challenges and unexpected safety procedure requirements. The University’s’ Facilities Manager had a fluctuating dormitory and housing schedule, and the implications of the new local and state mandates regarding COVID-19 requirements were significant. Additional challenges included a limited window for timely completion and numerous student housing and complexes in a metropolitan setting.
