WMS provider Softeon announces case study with Vantiva

Deployment time totaled three months for former logistics provider

Warehouse management system (WMS) provider Softeon recently announced a case study on systems it deployed for global supply chain provider Vantiva, formerly a part of Technicolor.

From start to finish, the WMS deployment time was three months or less, including Vantiva’s initial user acceptance testing (UAT) as well as UATs for each of Vantiva’s transitioning customers, said Softeon,

Softeon said its deployments with Vantiva have resulted in faster new customer onboarding and fulfillment times, leading to more flexible, composable, scalable, and efficient operations.

“The service we’ve been able to provide for Vantiva since 2019 is an example of Softeon’s commitment to delivering limitless customer-centric solutions that propel businesses as their warehousing and fulfillment needs diversify and become more complex,” said Jim Hoefflin, CEO of Softeon.

Softeon helps Vantiva expand supply-chain services into new markets

For over 100 years, Vantiva has addressed complex end-to-end logistics challenges for game publishers, music labels, software developers, and book publishers. Softeon said Vantiva’s service expansion to include many more markets and customers required a platform that could meet increasing consumer demand.

“As we diversified our service model, now working with companies that need direct-to-consumer fulfillment, Vantiva needed a WMS with more flexibility to do more than fulfill huge business-to-business orders for retail,” said Fred Holmes, director of information technology for Vantiva. “What we found was that our tools that we built into our legacy systems did not really line up with the tools needed to complete high volume, smaller orders versus one order with a huge volume.”

Needing faster onboarding of new customers and fulfillment capabilities for business-to-business (B2B) and direct-to-consumer (D2C) channels, Vantiva turned to Softeon for a WMS to fulfill sales orders for its new clients. Unlike legacy systems Vantiva previously used to fulfill orders for most of its customers, Softeon said its WMS enhanced operational efficiency, expanded integration capabilities, provided real-time data visibility, and improved inventory accuracy

In September 2022, Technicolor divested its VFX & animation services for entertainment, media, and advertising into Technicolor Creative Studios, while its manufacturing, packaging, and global logistics fulfillment and distribution operations rebranded as Vantiva, according to Technicolor’s website. Vantiva also provides broadband, video, and internet of things (IoT) services.
