PTM and Eco PACT join Reusable Packaging Association

PTM is RPA's first member from Mexico.

The Reusable Packaging Association has welomed two more companies, including its first member from Mexico, to the Association. Both companies will exhibit in the association’s Reusable Packaging Pavilion at PACK EXPO in Las Vegas this year.

For over 35 years, PTM (Plásticos Técnicos Mexicanos) has been designing, developing, and manufacturing highly durable and sustainable plastic products to meet the needs of different industries, particularly food and beverage. Its patented Inside Injection Foaming (IIF) technology is designed to provide a significant increase in the performance of its products, including enhanced impact resistance and strength while using eco-friendly and recycled materials. PTM also manufactures the ULTRA CRATE which is designed to carry bottled beverages while in transit. It is made from 100% recyclable materials and also is designed to be highly durable and impact resistant as a result of IIF technology. PTM is also one of the biggest plastic recycling plants in Mexico.

“PTM has a commitment to the environment through the development of sustainable products,” said Armando Molina, General Manager at PTM. “Innovations in material handling solutions and strategic alliances will help us develop new solutions, and the RPA can help us build those business relationships.”

Eco PACT of Phoenix, Ariz., is the parent company of Eco Aluminum Pallets, Eco Container Systems and Eco Tracking. Eco PACT manufactures aluminum pallets and custom aluminum shipping containers from recycled aluminum. According to the company, its pallets are one of the strongest on the market, and they are the only repairable pallets (other than wood). Eco PACT’s containers are collapsible and have a 1/4 turn fastener that is designed to be anti-vibration and allow for quick assembly and disassembly.

“We are nearing our third year in business and joining the RPA seemed like a logical next step for us,” said Rick Johnson, CEO. “We look forward to continuing to grow in our own awareness of the market for reusable packaging, and looking for ways to improve as new relationships and conversations are developed as a result of being involved with the RPA.”
