Frictionless Podcast: Danielle Malconian, Owner and CEO of Plus By Design and Vikki Vi Brand
Duration
0:20:40 hrs/min/sec

Listen as Rosemary Coates and Danielle Malconian Owner of Vikki Vi Apparel and CEO of Plus By Design, discuss the the world of apparel and fashion. Rosemary Coates, Executive Director of the Reshoring Institute, hosts this episode of The Frictionless Supply Chain.

In this episode, Danielle Malconian discusses the online apparel business and the market for plus-size fashion. Apparel sales changed dramatically during the pandemic, with people working from home and wearing casual clothes and loungewear. Danielle adapted her business by making and selling face coverings for the first few months. But then, the market for high-quality comfortable business, travel, and event clothing returned. Vikki Vi’s very loyal customers continued to buy.

Danielle has experienced the ups and downs of global supply chains, too.  Although Vikki Vi fashion is all manufactured in the U.S., some high-quality fabrics are made in Korea. Dealing with global supply chains can be a daunting task.
