EnerSys showcases IP54-rated charger

During a Tuesday press conference, EnerSys (Booth B8032) discussed its recently launched NexSys+ Outdoor charger.

IP54 rated, the charger is protected from an array of elements, including dust, various outdoor temperatures and water, leading to durability. It can be used workspaces consistently exposed to unpredictable weather conditions, such as building material yards, cargo terminals or ports.

Compatible with all current EnerSys battery technology—for instance, flooded lead-acid, lithium-ion (Li-ion) and thin plate pure lead (TPPL)—the charger helps users achieve various sustainability initiatives.

The NexSys+ Outdoor charger can be paired with the recently released 80-volt NexSys iON battery or the entire lineup of maintenance-free NexSys batteries. Energy efficient, the batteries don’t require any watering.

“As more and more companies hold supply chains responsible for sustainability, the NexSys+ Outdoor charger and 80-volt NexSys iON battery will provide traditional Class 4 and 5 combustion fleets a new electric alternative,” said Harold Vanasse, senior director of marketing, Motive Power Global, at EnerSys. “By reducing their emissions and improving their carbon footprints, these new offerings can increase fleets’ sustainability considerably.”
