Cubiscan Partners with inVia Robotics to Increase Warehouse Dimensioning Efficiency

Cubiscan and inVia Robotics said they will work together to provide customers with more flexible automated systems.

Cubiscan announced last week that the company is entering into a partnership with inVia Robotics, a warehouse autonomous mobile robot maker, to help it “improve inventory management, optimize outbound parcel strategy, and enhance overall warehouse productivity and throughput.”

The partnership was spurred by an increase in ecommerce demands, according to Farmington, UT-based Cubiscan, which supplies static and in-motion dimensioning systems.

“More orders must be filled, even faster than before, and delivered to consumers via many channels,” the company said in a short release announcing the partnership. “And the surge in parcel movement through the transit network has caused freight carriers to be more stringent in their shipping requirements.”

Joining forces to combine robotics with dimensioning

Cubiscan and inVia Robotics said “they will work together to provide warehousing and distribution operations with comprehensive solutions that will allow them to deliver a fantastic experience to their customers.”

The companies did not share many details about what that will look like, but in a statement, Cubiscan’s Global Business Development Manager Travis Peltier said together the companies’ “product offerings will add true, sustainable value for companies in an ever-changing shipping/warehousing landscape.”

Kurt Nantkes, InVia’s chief revenue officer, added InVia will combine its “AI-driven software suite and goods-to-person robotics with Cubiscan’s dimensioning hardware and software integration capabilities.”

The news comes a little over month after inVia announced that ShipHero is the Westlake Village, Calif.-based company newest customer to purchase its mobile robots and warehouse execution system for ShipHero’s fulfillment centers in Allentown, Pa. and Las Vegas.

Gartner Inc. also recently included inVia on its 2022 list of “Cool Vendors in Supply Chain Technology.”

inVia Robotics has claimed that its systems can quadruple or quintuple warehouse productivity and increase accuracy to 99.9%.
