155,000 square feet reserved at Modex 2016 space draw

New space draw record is more than half of the estimated 250,000-square-foot show floor, which will include 800 exhibitors and attract 25,000 attendees.

The Modex 2016 exhibit spacedraw, held December 12 in Atlanta, attracted 349 exhibitors who reserved a first-day record of 155,000 net square feet of show floor space at the industry’s premier U.S. event.

This record amount of space reserved is a clear message that the material handling, logistics and supply chain industry is healthy and growing. NACCO Materials Handling Group selected the first booth of the draw on behalf of their Hyster and Yale brands.

“The success of the Modex exhibit spacedraw is a clear indicator that supply chain solution providers have a positive economic outlook sending a clear message as to the value of the Modex expo and the health of the industry as a whole,” according to George W. Prest, CEO of MHI.

Modex 2016, sponsored by MHI, will be the most comprehensive international manufacturing and supply chain expo held in the U.S. in 2016. Modex will showcase the solutions of 800 exhibitors who will fill the Modex’s 250,000 square foot show floor. Modex will be held April 4-7, 2016 at Atlanta’s Georgia World Congress Center.

Modex 2016 exhibits will represent solutions that span the supply chain, from traditional, manual equipment to computerized, automated systems and information technologies. Manufacturers, consultants, third party logistics providers, publishers and systems integrators will be there to demonstrate their equipment, systems, software and services to manufacturing and supply chain professionals from around the world. These professionals will come to Modex seeking solutions that make their supply chains work more productively and profitably.

Modex attracts over 25,000 visitors from over 100 countries, and will once again feature an International Visitors Center. The Center provides matchmaker services for interested buyers and sellers. In addition to the exhibition, Modex will also offer a comprehensive Supply Chain Conference featuring Keynotes, show floor seminars and several collocated partner events. Industry experts will lead a broad range of show floor educational sessions covering all aspects of manufacturing, distribution and supply chain operations.

MHI and Reed Exhibitions (RX) will collocate the Modex and Supply Chain & Transportation USA events in 2016. Supply Chain & Transportation USA showcases a complete range of innovative products and service dedicated to transportation, logistics, real estate and the future supply chain. The co-location includes 20,000 square feet of exhibits as well as educational sessions.
