Listen as Rosemary Coates and Adrienne Braumiller, Founder of the international law firm, Braumiller Law Group, discuss the Uyghur Forced Labor Protection Act. Rosemary Coates, Executive Director of the Reshoring Institute, hosts this episode of The Frictionless Supply Chain.
In this episode, Attorney Braumiller discusses the Uyghur Forced Labor Protection Act that went into effect over a year ago and is causing much distress and disruption in global supply chains. All goods coming from Xijiang province and the Uyghur Autonomous Region in China are presumed to contain forced labor and are banned from entering the U.S. unless proven otherwise. This has become a very difficult issue for importers, as any goods made with Uyghur labor, no matter the origin of the goods, are prohibited. Ms. Braumiller has recommendations for how to control your supply chain and protect your company.
