TuSimple launches $1B IPO on ramp for driverless trucks

​Self-driving consumer vehicles are still in the works, but autonomous trucks are more likely to be on the roads, with the scale of fleets and more constrained routes making for a somewhat easier use case. San Diego, Calif.-based TuSimple Holdings Inc. announced its intention to raise $1.1 billion in an IPO. Clearly, developing this technology to be safe and reliable is not cheap.
