Tecsys announces winners of its 2023 Supply Chain Excellence awards

Outstanding achievements in supply chain management recognized at the 2023 Tecsys User Conference

Tecsys Inc., an industry-leading supply chain management software company, announced the winners of its 2023 Supply Chain Excellence Awards at its recent 2023 Tecsys User Conference, celebrating the achievements of supply chain professionals who have made significant contributions to their organizations. These individuals and teams have demonstrated exceptional commitment to leveraging the Tecsys environment and advancing supply chain best practices, Tecsys leaders explained.

“As their supply chain software partner, we take pride in seeing our customers set new standards and exemplify global supply chain excellence,” said Peter Brereton, president and CEO of Tecsys. “Our mission is to equip these customers with top-tier software so they can navigate complexity and create value within their organizations. We are privileged to be able to celebrate these key examples of supply chain excellence.”

The award winners were selected from nominations by industry peers, Tecsys noted.

Operational Excellence Award: Anwar Williams from McLeod Health was celebrated for his exceptional efforts in integrating Tecsys and the health organization's Epic EMR system to create a seamless, clinically integrated workflow.

“I am truly honored to receive the Tecsys Operational Excellence Award on behalf of the team at McLeod Health,” said Williams. “This is a testament to our team's shared vision and cross-functional collaboration, which have been fundamental in building operational workflows between Tecsys and Epic. By using technology as a backbone, we have streamlined clinical workflows and optimized resource allocation, with a focus precise, efficient, and patient-centered care.”

Strategic Leadership Award: Mike Brown, vice president, Supply Chain and Environmental Services at Texas Children's Hospital, was recognized for his visionary leadership. He has been instrumental in transitioning his organization from a siloed supply chain practice to a modern hub-and-spoke consolidated service center.

Brown commented, “Over the past 5 years, Texas Children's Supply Chain has transformed from a siloed department with serious technology deficits to an enterprise-wide, fully integrated system with benchmark technology from our Cloud ERP to our 'One Inventory System' strategy through our selection of Tecsys. Our strategy of focusing on foundational activities that drive stability and sustainability in our Supply Chain has paid off more than we could have predicted. Having one system for our Point of Use and one system for our ERP has allowed us to have cleaner, more accurate data and analytics than ever before.”

Innovation Award: Werner Electric received the Innovation Award for their pioneering approach to supply chain management. Their initiatives, from augmented cluster building to a focus on sustainability, exemplify the true spirit of innovation.

Fred Mauermann, Werner Electric's vice president of Operations, commented, “I am especially appreciative of our Tecsys partnership. Their results-based approach to data science has meshed well with the Lean Continuous Improvement passion of our Distribution Center leaders. This innovative, co-developed AI solution delivers an improved employee experience for our team members, both accelerating their training progression and freeing capacity to better serve our customers.”

Tecsys noted that it congratulates all the winners and nominees for their outstanding contributions to the field of supply chain management.
