Quadient Solutions Offer the Fastest Throughput Available on Today’s Market

In this Q&A, Holly Busalacki, Packaging by Quadient’s director of marketing for North America, discusses the evolution of packaging and shipping and highlights solutions that boast the fastest throughput on today’s market.

Q: How are packaging and shipping evolving in the supply chain right now?

A: Shippers understand just how crucial this last step of fulfillment is. As new packaging technologies enter the market, shippers want to save money while automating the packaging process, eliminating fulfillment errors, and improving the customer experience.

Q: How is Quadient responding to these trends?

A: Our CVP Automated Packaging Solutions—which include CVP Impack and CVP Everest—optimize order fulfillment, decrease labor costs and reduce package volume for shippers across a variety of industries. The auto-boxing systems measure, construct, seal, weigh, and label each custom single- or multi-item order of either hard or soft goods in a fit-to-size box while eliminating or reducing the need for void fill. Easy to install and incorporate into the order fulfillment process, these solutions support reliable production and service.

Q: What makes these solutions stand out in the marketplace?

A: They have the fastest throughput on the market today, backed by proven customer data. The CVP Impack packs up to 500 parcels per hour and requires only one operator while the CVP Everest auto-boxes up to 1,100 parcels per hour and uses two operators.

Q: Why can’t companies afford to ignore their packaging processes?

A: Automated Packaging Solutions can be used as a tool for risk management during peak season, when online orders spike, to solve labor issues, and during a crisis. With optimized packaging processes in place, shippers can get orders out the door at a much faster rate and at lower shipping costs.
