Talking Materials Handling: How to make the investment work

Without a doubt, sustainability is rising to the top of the ToDo list for many, if not most, supply chain managers. The questions confronting them are: Where to start and how to do it profitably? After all, sustainability can no longer be treated like a luxury good; there has to be a business case.

Those were also questions Jeff Haushalter, a partner with Chicago Consulting, answered at the NextGen2023 conference last October. It turns out, a focus on packaging can balance the demand to be sustainable and deliver lower supply chain operating costs.

On this episode of Talking Materials Handling, Haushalter and MMH executive editor Bob Trebilcock discuss the current state of sustainability along with a framework for identifying and executing areas of opportunity for sustainable packaging in your supply chain.
