EnerSys launches wireless charger

During a Tuesday press conference, EnerSys (Booth S612) revealed its NexSys AIR wireless charger.

During a Tuesday press conference, EnerSys (Booth S612) revealed its NexSys AIR wireless charger. A member of the maintenance-free motive power product lineup, the wireless charger is completely hands-free.

Created to enhance safety, the AIR wireless charger provides features like Foreign Object Detection (FOD) and Live Object Detection (LOD). It can be used for a variety of applications, as it’s chemistry independent. It can charge several types of batteries, including flooded lead acid, lithium-ion and thin plate pure lead (TPPL).

“Very flexible, with regard to its charging capabilities, the AIR wireless charger can be used to charge an assortment of AGVs, along with battery chemistries,” said Harold Vanasse, senior director of marketing, Motive Power Global, at EnerSys.

These charging capabilities are primarily associated with its complete elimination of connection hardware, which also positively impacts productivity.

“They’ll never need additional employees to physically plug-in equipment anymore, leading to less downtime and higher productivity, each of which are critical in the current labor market,” Vanasse added.

ProMat 2023 was held March 20-23 at Chicago’s McCormick Place. The tradeshow showcases the latest manufacturing, distribution and supply chain solutions in the materials handling and logistics industry. Modern’s complete coverage of the show.
