Arrive Logistics announces the opening of new Guadalajara, Mexico-based office

Austin, Texas-based freight brokerage and transportation management services provider Arrive Logistics recently announced it opened up a new office in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Company officials explained that the driver for this new office is focused on meeting increased demand in cross-border services, in tandem with February U.S. Census Bureau data indicating Mexico has moved past China as the leading exporter to the U.S. for the first time since 2002.

Arrive said its new 18,000 square-foot Guadalajara office, which is located in the city’s central financial district, can fit more than 100 employees, with the company noting it has enough space to triple that number in the coming years. And it added that it the company’s business development and carrier-focused teams specializing in cross-border solutions work out of this office, as well as staffers in Arrive’s Global Services team and technology organization.

The Guadalajara office is primarily focused on cross-border logistics management for its current and prospective customers, and also houses its Global Services team (Driver Services, Customer Operations, AR, AP, and Compliance) and members of its Technology team as well, the company said.

What’s more, Arrive officials said that the company has made significant investments over the last three years on expanding its cross-border operation and technology, providing solutions to its customers requiring multimodal services. It also noted that increased trade activity between the U.S. and Mexico upped the demand for localized resources to service the growing number of companies establishing manufacturing and transportation operations in Mexico.

“The opening of our new office in Guadalajara marks a significant milestone for Arrive as we continue to expand our footprint in Mexico,” said Arrive Logistics Chief Administrative Officer Scott Sandager in a statement. “This investment in our team and technology solidifies our position as a leader in cross-border logistics solutions.”

Jess Billedo, Arrive Logistics' General Manager of Mexico, whom leads the Guadalajara office, said in the same statement that Arrive is looking forward to strengthening relationships with local partners and providing a seamless connection to its entire North American operation at Arrive.”

Billedo told LM that there were various factors that led to the decision for Arrive to open up this office.

“With increased trade activity, manufacturing, and nearshoring, the need for a full-service multimodal transportation provider has become a requirement for many shippers,” she said. “Arrive began to invest in the talent and technology required to service the cross-border needs of our customers several years ago, with employees first based in Guadalajara in early 2022. Previous to this office we held a temporary space in a shared-office facility. It’s been exciting to establish a larger physical presence to accommodate growth as headcount has increased.”

And she explained that the new office provides various benefits for Arrive’s shipper customers and carriers in Mexico, with the convenience of having local industry expertise on the market conditions, geography, and type of freight moved within and across the border.

“The proximity to our transportation partners, as well as a thorough understanding of both the business and cultural nuances are an essential advantage,” she said. “Our new office space provides the increased flexibility and autonomy to expand our offerings to both US and Mexico customers alike and attract exceptional local talent. Additionally, our team in Guadalajara remains seamlessly connected to all seven of our offices in North America.”
