Session 6: Emerging Technologies
Momentum is building around the application of emerging technologies including artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT) and machine learning (ML) inside our warehouse and DC operations—as well as beyond the four walls. However, digitally transforming supply chains can’t be accomplished simply by sticking to a list of “hot” technologies. Today, it requires matching technologies to strategy and a fierce commitment to change.
In this session, our presenter offers attendees a comprehensive overview of the current status of AI, IoT and ML for warehouse and DC operations as well as the future benefits they can ultimately provide. He explains that, indeed, these next-generation technologies are for real, and if matched with a measured, thoughtful approach they can be quite powerful new tools that will better enable operations to keep pace with rapidly shifting supply chain dynamics.
