Autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and piece picking robots for warehouse and DC operations have a visual “wow” factor to them in how they help transport or pick goods. But how can you tell which type of robotics is a good fit with your operations and workflows? And with an improving economy, how can you establish a playbook for rolling out robotics solutions or scaling them up within sites?
In this session, our speaker will explore how to best assess robotics for a good fit with a company’s operations and sites—including brownfield site considerations. He’ll cover the general types of robotic solutions that exist in the market, the extent of integration needed with systems like WMS or WES, and strategies for establishing best practices for robotics so that solutions can be more easily rolled out to other sites or scaled to accommodate seasonality or other spikes in demand.
