TFG Transport delivered a load of refrigerated product, and once again the customer rejected it. “The temperature’s over 45 degrees,” he claimed.
This time, though, TFG’s trailer was equipped with TransCore’s Sense & Track™ terminal. Its temperature had been tracked from pickup to delivery.
“This particular customer sometimes looked for a reason to reject the load, so he’d say that the temperature was off,” said TFG managing director Tom Genecco.
Fortunately, TFG’s satellite monitoring data clearly showed that the load had stayed cool and within specifications. Genecco faxed the information to the
customer.
“There was nothing he could do except unload it. We haven’t had a problem with him since. With Sense & Track, there’s no question,” said Genecco.
The experience helped Genecco decide to equip his entire fleet with Sense & Track terminals. Now that he’s using them “...I look back and I say, ‘How did I get by without this product?’”
