In this wide-ranging podcast, the ATA's Costello offered up his insights on a whole host of trucking topics, including: the impact of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic; tonnage and volumes; the need for a national infrastructure plan; the 2020 Peak Season; and driver turnover, among others.  

Bob Costello serves at the Chief Economist for the American Trucking Associations (ATA) down in Alexandria, VA. Bob has been at the ATA since 1997 and is widely known and respected in the trucking industry as an authority on trucking data and trends as they relate to key economic trends and themes, such as the ATA’s monthly truck tonnage index and its quarterly truckload turnover metrics.

Bob also is the author of U.S. Bank quarterly Freight Payment Index Report and has been a longstanding speaker and presenter at a whole host of industry conferences and events, too.
