Talking Supply Chain: Is Generative AI the future of the supply chain?

Combining natural language processing and machine learning, Generative AI is quickly becoming a necessary companion to supply chain operations.

Artificial intelligence has infiltrated our lives in ways never imagined just a few years ago. But, the introduction of ChatGPT has changed the equation. Artificial intelligence creates equal amounts of excitement and fear.

The same is true in the supply chain. While the use of ChatGPT in the supply chain is limited, Generative AI is not. Combining natural language processing and machine learning, Generative AI is being used to create new efficiencies, clarify datasets, and build robust What-if scenario modeling.

Nate Powrie has spent years studying data and technology, and as the executive vice president of data analytics for global supply chain and operations consultancy SGS Maine Pointe, he is being asked regularly by clients about Generative AI.

Powrie joins Supply Chain Management Review Editor in Chief and Talking Supply Chain host Brian Straight for this 30-minute discussion on Generative AI – what is it, what can it do for you today, and what will it do for you tomorrow.
