During this podcast, JLL's Thompson provided a detailed overview of various issues impacting the global supply chain, including port congestion and the labor shortage.
Other themes address included: warehouse space availability; the imbalance of imports and exports; how the pandemic continues to wreak havoc on production and distribution; and Peak Season, among others.
Thompson serves on the Board of Directors for two of the largest supply chain industry organizations, the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) and the Warehouse Education Research Council (WERC).
He also serves on the Business Advisory Council of Northwestern University’s Transportation Center and Industry Advisory Board for USC’s Center of Global Supply Chain Management. He has served as a consultant for over 100 corporations across the world. Thompson holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Miami University (Ohio) and an M.B.A. degree in Finance and Marketing from The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
