PITT OHIO Wins 2015 Quest for Quality Award

PITT OHIO wins Logistics Management Magazine’s Quest for Quality Award in the Regional Less-Than-Truckload Northeast category.


For the twenty-first time, PITT OHIO has earned a spot in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Regional LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) category, finishing at the top of the list in 2015.

The results, according to the magazine, align with what many analysts believe to be true – that the top regional carriers like PITT OHIO have done a terrific job over the past 12 months of maintaining top service levels.  2015 marks the tenth year in a row that PITT OHIO has earned a spot on the regional LTL Quest for Quality list.

“We put our customers at the top of our list and it is an honor to be at the top of theirs in 2015 signifying their endorsement of our performance and commitment to delivering reliable and consistent service,” Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at PITT OHIO, Geoff Muessig said.

2015 Quest for Quality: Regional LTL short hauls, long on service
While still facing many of the regulatory and driver recruitment challenges facing their longer-haul less-than-truckload (LTL) brethren, our reporting over the past year indicates that the Regional LTL sector has found its footing in terms of capacity alignment and revenue growth.

And while they still have a way to go to get back to operational levels seen before the Great Recession, the Regional LTL carriers listed below have done a terrific job over the past 12 months of maintaining top service levels in the eyes of LM readers.

The Quest for Quality Awards are voted on by readers of Logistics Management magazine and are regarded as one of the most important measures of customer satisfaction and performance excellence. Recipients have received the “ultimate vote of confidence,” with winners posting the highest scores in the various criteria. The five criteria are on-time performance, value, information technology, customer service, and equipment and operations.

This 2015 award brings PITT OHIO’s overall grand total to 33 Quest for Quality Awards in the categories of Regional LTL, National LTL, Expedited and Truckload.
