OTTO Motors Launches Dealer Program to Support Customers Throughout North America

The new program will help the mobile robot supplier give technical support to its customers.

OTTO Motors has partnered with a range of companies as part of a new program designed to help it offer more technical support to customers.

As part of a new certified dealer program, OTTO said it has trained and certified a number of companies that work in materials handling. The company added that the new program introduces more than 215 regional offices and 2,000 technicians to the autonomous mobile robot (AMR) industry.

“Customers demand exceptional service. We’ve built our OTTO Certified Dealer program like we’ve built our products, with unwavering emphasis on quality to ensure that our customers receive the exceptional service they expect,” said John Stikes, director of global strategic alliances and partnerships at OTTO Motors, in a statement.

“We have hand-selected the top material handling equipment organizations in the continent to locally deliver the technical support and maintenance needed to deploy, maintain, and scale automation systems,” he said.

OTTO Motors lists partners

The Kitchener, Ontario-based company said its OTTO-certified dealers include:

  • Distribuidora LARCE

  • Eastern Lift Truck (ELT) Systems Group
  • MH Equipment
  • Papé Material Handling
  • Toyota Material Handling Systems

“OTTO Motors offers user-friendly, cutting-edge solutions that allow us to minimize disruption at our customer's facilities while building that return on investment from day one,” said Jason Dodge, automation manager of Eastern Lift Truck Co., in a statement. “We look forward to our continued partnership with OTTO Motors and solving a wide variety of material handling challenges across North America.”

OTTO Motors works with AMT

In related OTTO Motors' news, the company also announced today that it has partnered with Applied Manufacturing Technologies (AMT) to installed the first robots at Rehrig Pacific Company.

“Together, AMT and OTTO Motors implemented a material handling workflow to transport Rehrig's plastic bins and totes. At the Florida facility, the totes move down the conveyor and are labeled with a unique barcode,” OTTO said in a statement.

“A FANUC robotic arm stacks the totes onto a pallet, and once the pallet is full, an OTTO 1500 with a lift attachment arrives at the front-of-line station,” the company added. “OTTO picks up the pallet and drives the totes to the end-of-line station where the pallet is stretch wrapped. The process continues as each pallet is completed at the front-of-line station.”

The company is at Automate in Detroit this week, showcasing its lineup of AMRs. Robots at the show include the OTTO 100, OTTO 600, OTTO 1500, and OTTO Lifter.
