How is Supply Chain Execution Critical to Motorola’s Success?

Central to the solution is E2open’s cloud-based platform, which facilitates trading partner collaboration and execution across a number of key supply chain processes.

Motorola Solutions partnered with E2open to design and build a strategic solution for seamless information sharing, exception handling, and closed-loop process management.

Central to the solution is E2open’s cloud-based platform, which facilitates trading partner collaboration and execution across a number of key supply chain processes.

The overarching supply chain objectives would be to improve customer responsiveness, increase inventory velocity, and scale supply chain processes across both supply- and demand-side operations. The most critical success metrics would be customer on-time delivery, first scheduled ship date, and inventory turns.

With a diverse customer base of government and enterprise companies, from “first responders” to local and federal government agencies to major global retailers, plus a network of more than 25,000 indirect channel partners, Motorola Solutions recognized the importance of investing in a flexible, scalable integration solution.

E2open’s any-to-any cloud platform enables Motorola Solutions and its partners to exchange data in any preferred payload format and protocol, regardless of current systems or technological sophistication.

As part of Motorola Solutions’ comprehensive change management program, E2open’s optimized onboarding methodology extends value to trading partners immediately, offering self-configuring connectivity options and eliminating the costs associated with testing and infrastructure maintenance.

To date, more than 1,200 suppliers have been onboarded to the Motorola Solutions collaboration platform. These suppliers represent the majority of Motorola Solutions’ spend.
