Bear Claw ® A Frame Hoist Provides Ergonomic Lifting Solutions

Improve lifting and manipulating heave objects efficiently and economically.

The A Frame Hoist models are engineered and manufactured for heavy lifting and ergonomic positioning along the beam length. The unit is portable and designed to be rolled into a work station area on a level concrete floor.

They are shipped to be erected and assembled with a fork lift at the work area as a free standing unit without the requirement of anchoring to the concrete floor or building structure as a permanent or semi-permanent gantry crane application.

Standard feature steel design includes heavy duty capacities of 2,000, 4,000, 6,000, 8,000 or 10,000 lbs. Movable vertical beam height is available in 6” increments secured with locking pins and adjusted with a side mounted manual ratchet assembly. Adjustable raised height measuring under the top beam ranges from a usable 7’-6” up to 16’ with overall beam length ranging from 10’, 15’ or 20’, depending on the model.

The top beam usable distance between both the upright legs is 12” less the overall beam length and the usable trolley travel is 30” less the overall beam length. The A Frame Hoist unit is designed with four swivel casters for mobility to move from one work area to another.

Glass Filled nylon casters are supplied on the 2,000 and 4,000 lb. capacity units, Phenolic casters are supplied on the 6,000 and 8,000 lb. capacity units and Steel Casters are supplied on the 10,000 lb. capacity units.

Trolley and Hoist are sold separately. The beam web height size ranges from 6”, 8-1/8”, 10-1/8”, 12-1/8” and 12-5/16” depending on the capacity. Select the trolley to be suited for the top beam flange and web size. Hoists are available in manual and electric power, with single or three phase voltage.

When pairing up the trolley and hoist for the A Frame Hoist Crane identify how much distance is required under the hoist hook for your lifting needs. Understand the trolley eyelet distance to the beam and hoist eyelet to the hook.

The A-Frame hoists are manufactured with a certificate of conformance standard. Final inspection and testing is the responsibility of the end user and assembly. All products should be inspected on a frequent scheduled basis to ensure safety, see ASME B30.17 for further information.
