World Fair Trade Organization Unveils New Digital Sustainability Platform

The World Fair Trade Organization unveiled a new digital sustainability platform, designed to provide a variety of sustainable solutions tailored to the needs of its members, including verified Fair Trade Enterprises and other interested small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) committed to reducing their environmental footprint.

Powered by environmental solutions platform Ubuntoo, the tool seeks to improve networking opportunities, facilitate targeted collaborations, and strengthen the collective positive impact of fair and green SMEs worldwide. 

The announcement came at the sixth annual United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA-6) in Nairobi, Kenya.

One of the platform’s key features is its ability to enable WFTO members to search for potential partners based on specific solutions or geographical locations. This will help develop meaningful partnerships and knowledge exchange within the Fair Trade community. 

The hub will also help streamline the process for corporations and other organizations seeking partnerships with WFTO-verified members, enhancing accessibility and collaboration.
