Shippers Nationwide Find Traditional Freight Modes Inefficient and Costly

This report reveals new data and actionable insights to help today’s shippers overcome their most pressing challenges.

Inefficiency - Not Just the Labor Shortage - is Breaking Supply Chains

Delays, damage, and waste are inherent to less than truckload and truckload shipping modes, according to new data from Drive Research and Flock Freight.

In 2021, shippers across the U.S. reported:

  • 100% of LTL shippers experienced late delivery
  • LTL shippers spent an average of $411,239 on accessorials
  • Almost 96% of LTL shippers reported delays of one to four days

51% of U.S. trucks aren't filled to capacity.

This research study reveals most truckloads move with empty space and are resource-inefficient. The same study shows 100% of LTL shippers experienced late deliveries in 2021.
