Real-Time Less-than-Truckload Shipment Visibility for Shippers & Consignees

Chain.io, a leader in managed software integration services, and developer of their state of the art supply chain connectivity platform has integrated SMC³'s less-than-truckload visibility technology into their cloud-based system.

Chain.io has announced it has integrated its platform with SMC³'s Visibility APIs, a move that allows Chain.io customers to take advantage of the less-than-truckload technology provider's best-of-breed shipment tracking technology.

SMC³'s innovative API solutions provide the most up-to-date information to ensure real-time shipment visibility.

By interfacing with SMC³, Chain.io can now provide LTL APIs to clients that lack the internal IT resources to consume API technology.

These customers utilize a range of software formats and platforms, and may not have invested in transportation management systems.

“Chain.io works hard to provide connectivity services to our customers, regardless of the technology they currently use,” said Brian Glick, CEO of Chain.io.

“The decision to integrate to SMC³ arose from our customers needing a better way to optimize the LTL portions of their multifaceted supply chains. SMC³'s solutions give Chain.io platform clients a single window into their LTL activity.”

Chain.io offers customers a host of integration services within the supply chain, from purchase-order connectivity and EDI-messaging conversion to full software system integrations.

As a neutral third party, SMC³ creates a level LTL playing field for shippers, Logistics Service Providers and other supply chain technology consumers.

“Our association with Chain.io opens up additional avenues for customers to consume SMC³'s LTL APIs,” said Brian Thompson, SMC³'s chief commercial officer.

“We look forward to expanding our business with Chain.io, providing their customers with additional API offerings that simplify the complex LTL arena and give visibility to the complete shipment lifecycle.”
