The Department of Energy’s Energy Information Administration (EIA) reported this week that the average price per gallon of diesel gasoline dropped 0.6 cents to $3.217 per gallon.
This follows a 0.3-cent decline and a 0.6-cent increase, respectively, over the previous two weeks, which was preceded by 1.9-cent and 0.4-cent decreases, respectively, the previous two weeks.
On an annual basis, the national diesel average of up 61.9 cents, which is below last week’s annual spread of 64.2 cents.
West Texas Intermediate Crude oil is currently trading at $67.20 on the New York Mercantile Exchange, which is down from last week’s $69.26.
