CEMA reports August booked orders up 27.2% from July
An increase of 42% in unit handling equipment orders contributed to a month that saw 58% improvement over the same period in 2018.
The Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association reported that its August 2019 booked orders increased 58.1% when compared to August 2018 orders.
August 2019 booked orders when compared to July 2019 booked orders up 27.2%. August booked orders were down 3.0% for bulk handling equipment and up 42.0% for unit handling equipment when compared to July.
CEMA’s August 2019 billed sales (shipments) decreased by 6.1% when compared to August 2018 sales. August 2019 billed sales when compared to July billed sales were up 3.2%.
August billed sales were up 1.6% for bulk handling equipment and up 3.8% for unit handling equipment when compared to July.
