During this podcast, Dr. Jason Miller talked about the current state of the freight transportation market, with a focus on truckload activity.

Themes focused on over the course of this podcast included: economic indicators to track supply and demand and to also track prices, as well as the spot market and contract rate environments. Other subjects addressed included: the current state of inventories; the driver outlook; and the intermodal market conditions related to truckoad, among others.

Dr. Miller mainly studies topics in the for-hire motor carrier industry including safety, productivity/efficiency, pricing dynamics, and driver turnover. He completed his PhD. in Business Administration, with a concentration in logistics and a minor in quantitative psychology from The Ohio State University in 2014.
