Veterans Day

Carolina Handling set the record for creating the world’s largest pallet painting on October 10 in Greenville, South Carolina when it completed a 26,235-square-foot portrait of Lady Liberty.

Veterans Day is today, the day that World War I ended, and it’s a chance for all of us to reflect on the courage and sacrifices our veterans have made, and a time to honor the contributions veterans make every day.

The Manufacturing Institute and Arconic Foundation have released a video that highlights the value veterans bring to the manufacturing workforce, and encourages veterans to explore the career options available in manufacturing.

As we remember the sacrifices made by all veterans since the nation’s founding, we thank all those who have served, and especially those who are still putting their lives on the line on our behalf around the world.

There is one group of veterans who have gone unrecognized for too long: our Merchant Marines.
