The new edition of the BlueGrace Logistics Confidence Index, which was recently issued by Tampa, Fla.-based non-asset-based 3PL BlueGrace Logistics pointed to a relatively cautious outlook, as it relates to revenues and inventory management, among other factors.

BlueGrace's Logistics Confidence Index for Q2 2024 reveals cautious sentiment among shippers amidst stable market conditions, focusing on revenue and inventory concerns.

The report observed that sentiment regarding revenue, for the first quarter (Q1) 2024 remained in familiar territory, with 65% of shipper respondents expecting positive revenue growth, in line with previous quarters, including: Q2 2023, at 66%, Q3 2023, at 62%, and Q4 2023, at 64%. As for other Q1 revenue expectations, 20% of respondents were neutral, and 16% were negative.

As many of the worst-case scenarios in the supply chain have not panned out, many shippers are more comfortable discussing long-term contracts with carriers, says BlueGrace Logistics executive.

The new edition of the BlueGrace Logistics Confidence Index, which was recently released by Tampa, Fla.-based non-asset-based 3PL BlueGrace Logistics, pointed to variation across some key metrics, including revenue, inventory levels, and order levels, with a forward-looking slant.
