Pepsico Worldwide Flavours Inventory Optimization Case Study

With a multi-tier network of three plants, four Distribution Centers (DCs) in the US serving both the US and Canadian markets, 450 finished goods and 1781 components and raw materials, this was not something that could be done easily.

PepsiCo Worldwide Flavors (PWF) is a global organization, the only one at PepsiCo, represented in all continents and the manufacturer of soft drink concentrate, which goes into the soda beverage.

PWF recently went through a reorganization that led to reassessment of inventory in the manufacturing plants.

The company chose to work with OPS Rules and deploy an end-to-end inventory optimization process.

With extensive experience in applying analytics to solving supply chain and operations problems, we have developed a 9-step process as a general guideline.

Read the case study to find out how this process was applied to the PepsiCo Worldwide Flavours’ supply chain.
