Fully Address the New ACE PGA Requirements

As a result of CBP’s transition to Automated Commercial Environment(ACE), PGAs have been reprogramming and testing their enforcement systems to ensure appropriate connectivity with CBP’s ACE systems.

What are the ACE PGA requirements? The US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is leveraging the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) system to implement the concept of Single Window with Partner Government Agencies (PGAs).

There are approximately twenty government agencies and about forty programs, and each must now declare between 10 to 75 data points at the time of admission.

In February 2014, a White House Executive Order created the International Trade Data System (ITDS) to streamline import and export processes for U.S. business. The ITDS allows businesses to submit import and export data requirements electronically to the CBP and PGAs.

In support of this Executive Order, CBP is working to complete and deploy core trade processing capabilities in ACE by December 2016. To-date CBP, in partnership with various PGAs, has completed several mandatory transitions.
